Streets of Rage 4 Gameplay
Street of Rage 4 echoes the style of play from previous Streets of Rage 4 from the early 1990s and is a side-scrolling rhythm that sees up to four players in place or two players online against waves of fighting enemies, backed by weapons and collections of goods. In addition to standard attacks, throws, and flash moves, each playable character has several special attacks that perform at the expense of health.
In this game, however, players can restore the health of a particular character by performing successive attacks without hitting. Each playable character also has a unique “Star Move” and can be achieved by collecting stars on each level.
In addition, a new combination system is introduced and the ability to juggle opponents against walls and other players. So players can earn extra points by combining long combinations without hitting.
In Story Mode, players go through each level as the story tells. When you have finished the story mode, a level selection is unlocked. Players have a limited number of lives depending on the difficulty level but can earn more by collecting specific points.
If all players lose their lives, they must repeat the level from the beginning, with the ability to use aids that give extra energy and fantastic moves at the expense of reduced points. After reaching a level, players receive a ranking based on points.
The accumulated points are converted to a lifetime and used to unlock playable bonus characters from previous games presented in a pseudo-16-bit style. The game also includes Arcade Mode, allowing players to finish with fewer lives. Boss Rush mode and Cooperative Battle mode pit two players against each other. The game also has a retro sound option with songs from the Mega Drive / Genesis and Master System / Game Gear versions of the first two games.
Ease Yourself Extremely Satisfied
A Street of Rage is a simple game – you go down the street and defeat the villains. But the latest post makes things much more interesting by constantly changing them with new stories. For example, they arrest you early, and you have to flee. It means not only fighting the guards but also the prisoners.
These two camps often fight against each other, leading to chaos. Especially since you also have to deal with Taser-armed police and shield-bearing guards. Levels like this require a simple premise and constantly bring new ideas to the table.
Streets of Rage 4 also have a very inviting approach to difficulty. Many classic games can be ruthless, and in a way, it is part of their appeal. But the latest Streets of Rage smartly solves the problem. In addition to having several difficulty levels, the game also allows you to customize the experience in more detail.
You can choose to have more life stars or more superpower stars. It will lower your high score, but it does not affect the experience in any way. It means that hardcore players can still enjoy a difficult game, while everyone can find ways not to get too frustrated.
New Legendary Characters
Streets of Rage 4 have returned to its legendary characters: Axel, Blaze, and Adam have teamed up with new brothers in arms, Floyd Iraia and Cherry Hunter. Our heroes are ready to strike a blow against a young group of misguided criminals with new moves and new kick-ass tracks.
Nostalgia Strikes Again
One of your dreams is coming true. In addition to the five new characters, you can unlock favorite pixel characters from previous Streets of Rage games such as Axel, Adam, Blaze, Skate, Max, and many more with their own retro SFX in beautiful hand-drawn HD environments around the city and Tube. And for a nostalgic experience, you can also play along with music from previous Streets of Rage games.
