Riders Republic Review: A Great Game

The Riders Republic is a game where you can do many different sports. I will tell you everything possible in my Riders Republic Review. There are mountains for snowboarding in the winter or dirt biking in the summer. You can find something to do, no matter what season it is.

It is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and Series S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Google Stadia, Amazon Luna, and Microsoft Windows.

This game is enjoyable, but it has some significant flaws. I will tell you what those are in my review. Ubisoft needs to fix these problems if they want more people to play their games!

What is Riders Republic?

The Riders Republic is a game where you can do many different sports. There are mountains for snowboarding in the winter or dirt biking in the summer.

Gameplay

Riders Republic gameplay makes up for its graphics because the controls are great on a PS controller. The Xbox One version of this game worked fine, but the PS controller was much more responsive.

I also liked how Ubisoft made a small change to make it easier for people who are colorblind to play this game. Riders Republic gameplay is pretty good, and there were only a few bugs that got in my way while playing.

During one of my runs, I got caught in something from the environment and couldn’t move my character. It wasn’t very pleasant, but it didn’t happen very often.

Controls

Riders Republic controls are the best part of the game because they’re easy to learn and work well with most types of sports. I like how there were separate buttons for tricks or jumps on Sony controllers. Riders Republic controls are challenging to learn, but it only takes a few minutes.

Graphics

Riders Republic has excellent graphics and the best gameplay I’ve ever seen in an action sports game. The characters look perfect when riding their bikes or snowboarding down mountains. There could be better lighting effects, though.

Sound

Riders Republic sounds are the worst part of this game because there’s not much variety. I like how you can choose your music, but it would be better if Riders Repulic had more sound effects for all the different sports they have in their game.

How to play Riders Republic?

The Riders Republic is an action sports game where you can snowboard, dirt bike, and mountain climb. You start as a new rider trying to show your stuff on the mountains of Riders Ridge.

You’ll be able to do more than one sport in Riders Republic because Ubisoft has included rock climbing, surfing, and more! However, some of these activities are only available in the summer or winter.

You’ll also get to upgrade your character’s gear over time so you can do better tricks in Riders Republic.

There are a few different characters you can choose from when playing this game.

I liked how Ubisoft made it so you could play as either a man or woman, but I wish there were a few more options to customize my character’s appearance before starting the game. It was hard knowing what my character would look like before playing.

Ubisoft also made it to play as either an East or West coast rider in Riders Republic. I thought this was cool because there are some minor differences between the two characters, but having more options would be better.

Pros and Cons of the Game

Pros

  • Characters can be either men or women.
  • You can change characters’ appearance and clothes over time.
  • There are multiple sports to play in this game, including snowboarding and dirt biking.

Cons

  • The graphics could be better. I want better lighting and textures on the mountains and people’s clothes.
  • There are not many sound effects for each sport. You’ll get used to the sounds eventually, but it would be better if there were more variety from the beginning.
  • Riders Republic gameplay can sometimes glitch and cause problems. I got stuck on something once during my run, which was annoying! It only happened once, though.

My Experience Playing the Game

This game is excellent. If you are a fan of Steep (the best game ever), then you will like this one. There is a significant change in mood and atmosphere, though.

In Steep, there was not a lot going on. The Riders Republic is more busy and full of things to do.

The developers made a good decision by adding cycling. The downhill events are especially significant. Every single rider is fun to play with.

Some Tips for Beginners

  • If you are a beginner, I suggest playing with the East or West coast characters first. The other ones will be too hard for beginners to play right off the bat.
  • You can change your character’s appearance and clothes by going outside their home and looking in the mirror there. It is also where you can change your gear too.
  • You can unlock new music by playing the game! The radios are located throughout Riders Republic, and you’ll get to choose what song is playing on them after they’ve been activated.
  • There’s no need to be intimidated when starting this game because it will start easy before getting more challenging.
  •  You can do stunts in Riders Republic using the trick button, but you’ll get more points if you perform tricks yourself. I suggest playing with it off at first to learn how this game works before trying anything fancy.
  • If you are stuck by something while biking or snowboarding down a big mountain, move around until you can get past it. You will be good if you don’t just stand there and wait for the game to figure itself out.
  • The stats page in Riders Republic is broken into four categories: bike, board, run, and swim. If you want more points, focus on one sport at a time instead of doing all three in one run.
  • The more you play Riders Republic, the faster you will get better at it. This game is excellent for teaching people how to snowboard and ride a dirt bike like they’re in the Olympics!
  • If you are having trouble with tricks while biking or riding your board, try using some of these tips.
  • You can save your game progress by sleeping at Riders Republic’s home base. The only drawback is that you will lose all of the points you earned doing tricks on one run, but this shouldn’t be a problem if it means saving your game without having to do anything else!
  • There are some things in Riders Republic that you can’t get until you buy them from the store. It can help if you focus on getting a bike and board before trying to unlock all of the other things in Riders Republic because it’s easier.

Final Verdict

I hope this Riders Republic review has given you a better idea of what to expect from this game. I’m going to give it a score of four out of five stars because it’s nice, but there are some issues with the sound and graphics.

The developers have been working on improving these aspects for the Riders Republic, so if they do this, then it will be a five out of the five-star game for sure!
