Design
The Switch Lite differs from the original Nintendo Switch in that it is a handheld unit. The Switch Lite is much more compact and lighter than its predecessor.
The Switch Lite is 91.1 mm x 208 mm x 13.9 mm and weighs 275 g, compared to the original Switch’s 102 mm x 239 mm x 13.9 mm and 297 g weight. It means that the device also has a smaller LCD touch screen that measures only 5.5 inches and still offers 1280 x 720 pixels.
In other words, it is a smaller screen than the original Switch’s 6.2-inch screen. But with the exact resolution, so you do not lose image quality.
Performance
Nintendo Switch Lite has the same efficiency as Switch, except that Lite has a somewhat longer battery life of 3-7 hrs., about 30 minutes much longer than the original Switch and 1-2 hours less than the updated model by Switch.
However, it should be noted that Switch Lite does not come with HD Rumble or an infrared motion camera. In addition, the device is designed to play handheld games only and will only play Nintendo Switch games that support handheld mode.
That does not mean you cannot play games that do not support handheld mode. But you must connect Joy-Cons wirelessly to work (and buy them plus the rechargeable handle separately). For example, we have found that connecting to Joy-Cons HD allows you to use Rumble.
Verdict
Nintendo Switch Lite is the perfect console for those who prefer comfortable handheld devices. The compact and lightweight device feels much better than its predecessor and is less bulky. The Switch Lite is easier to carry, takes up less elbow room when you are on the go, and fits much better in your hands when it comes to portable gaming. It is not as comfortable as the 3DS, but we can let it happen if we can get the same performance as the Switch.
But anyone planning to buy Switch Lite should need to focus on single-player and portable games. And the number of games supported by the device is slightly less than the original Switch. So it is more than just a minor turn. But if you are looking for a more comfortable, lighter, and generally better portable device and you do not care too much about missing the few games we have listed, Switch Lite is probably for you.

Nintendo Switch Lite is the perfect way to play Switch games if you only care about portable games. It may release a more robust switch in the future. But we believe that Switch Lite will remain the pure laptop to beat.
